Gym leader challenge!

For my whole eight years of having any pokemon experience, I've always been quite a researcher, studying pokemon and watching their antics and how they act.
But, lately, I have been battling more.
Since I've moved to Hoenn lately, my neighbors have challenged me to a few battles.. and to my suprise, I have one.
I've also been training my Eevee lately, hoping soon it will be a Espeon.
Since soon I am heading to Rustboro, I think it would be good to challenge the gym leader there, Roxanne.
Having a scizor with bullet punch, I think I would have an advantage.
What is everyones opinion?
